Hong Kong is a hilly city with little flat land. The geology of Hong Kong is dominated by volcanic granite. Quarrying was one of the economic activities before 1980s. After that, most of the mines are exploited and left abandoned. We can still see the quarry terrace in Hong Kong, However the quarrying settlement has been all removed. It is an attempt to intimate the machine and quarry settlement in the old days to shows the past glory of this quarrying site. The settlement and machine in the old days was transporting stone to the ground. And it was also a resting place for some of the workers there. In this proposal, it becomes a resting hut for visitors and try to activate the quarry terrace which left abandoned by the quarrying activities.
